Christmas Holiday

Time Trial Competition usually held on the last Wednesday of every month. Handicap race with winner taking home a trophy to keep.
Hillwork Objective: to develop quick, dynamic strength, build up leg muscles and improve running posture.
Pyramids Objective: to improve speed.
Circuit Training Objective: to strengthen heart and lungs and the muscles used in running.
Flying 30's Objective: to develop acceleration and maintain maximum speed.
Endurance Challenge How many times can you complete the circuit in 15 minuites? Objective: to improve stamina and teach pace setting.

Having asked members what they would like to do on club nights, this season there will again be a mixture of sessions but we will do longer warm up and cool down runs.

We will still do a series of stretches and drills - the purpose of these is to stretch the specific muscles used in running thus improving flexibility and preventing pulled muscles - hence the importance of doing them correctly!

The programme is subject to change owing to weather conditions etc., please let me know if there are any other sessions you would like to be included.

Regards,

Tina (01672) 564477 (day), (01672) 562371 (eve)
